The Publish Video command of CivilGEO’s software allows the user to publish the Map View data to a video file. Saving the Map View data in the video file allows the user to use it with other applications effortlessly.
The user can also publish the Map View data into image and PDF files using the following commands:
Publish Graphics
This command is used to publish the Map View data into the image file. Refer to this article in our knowledge base to learn more about this command.

This command is used to publish the Map View data into a PDF file. Refer to this article in our knowledge base to learn more about this command.
Follow the steps below to use the Publish Video command:
From the Results ribbon menu, select the Publish Video command.
In GeoHECRAS:
In GeoHECHMS:
The Publish Video dialog box will be displayed.
Click the […] button adjacent to the Export file input field.
The Save As dialog box will be displayed. Browse to the location where you want to save the video file, enter the file name, and click the [Save] button.
The Publish Video dialog box will be redisplayed, and the location for saving the video file will be displayed in the Export file field.
From the Video resolution dropdown combo box, select the resolution for the video format to be published.
When all the data have been defined, click the [Start Recording] button.
After 3 seconds countdown, the software will start recording the Map View as shown below.
Navigate on the Map View to record the desired model extent.
Once finished, press the F10 key on the keyboard to stop the recording. The software will then save the Map View data into the video format at the specified location.
