Assigning and Revoking Software Licenses

This article describes the necessary steps to assign and revoke an active software license from the user or administrator via the Customer Portal.

Note that GeoSTORM does not support assigning multiple license types to a single email address. However, different license types can be assigned to the same email address across different CivilGEO products (e.g., GeoHECRAS and GeoHECHMS).

Follow the steps below to assign and revoke the software license:

  1. Log in to the Customer Portal as a portal administrator. The portal dashboard will be displayed, as shown below.

  2. From the left side panel, click on the License Management option under the Admin Center menu item.
  3. The License Management page will be displayed.

  4. The displayed page shows the software products, the type and number of seats associated with software licenses, and the list of users to whom software licenses are assigned.
  5. To assign a software license to a new user, specify the email address in the Enter an email entry field and click the [Assign] button. The software license will be assigned to the user.

  6. To revoke a software license assigned to a user, click on the Revoke License option, as shown below.

  7. The following dialog box will be displayed. Click the [Revoke License] button and the software license will be unassigned. To abort the process, click the [Cancel] button.

Bulk Assigning Software Licenses

The software license can be bulk-assigned to multiple users at once by using the bulk-assign option.

Follow the steps below to bulk assign software licenses:

  1. Click on the Bulk Assign option, as shown below.

  3. Select the users at once to whom the software license is to be assigned and click the [Assign] button.
  4. The software license will be assigned to the selected users.
